Happy Fourth Of July!
What a great 4th we had! Our Granny and Grandpa came for a last minute visit all the way from Florida.
Nathan and Nolan loved having them here and all the attention that came along with it.
We had such a nice laid back day full of swimming, playing, and eating. For dinner Daddy grilled some yummy steaks and Mimi brought delicious sides like scalloped potatoes and baked beans. We all ate until we almost exploded like a firework!
Once our food settled in we decided we could fit in dessert.
Next it was time to hop in the pool. Nolan showed Granny his swimming skills. Granny was VERY nervous about his swimming skills :)
The boys swam and swam until it was time for FIREWORKS!!!! Nathan kept asking Daddy about doing fireworks so Kyle got out our bag left over from New Years.
Once Kyle made it to the road to set one off Nathan ran inside to watch from the front door. He does not like the fireworks from outside. He made this very clear on New Years. We thought he had forgotten but once he heard the first one go off he must have remembered.
Nolan hung out in the front with Granny and Grandpa yelling along with the booms. He thought they were great! After a few more we all came inside to watch the fireworks on TV and settle down a bit.
Both boys were exhausted and went right to sleep.
Nolan trying to get in the water and making Granny very nervous :)
Hanging out waiting for fireworks.
Nathan watching from inside . :)
