Astros Game

What is summer without a baseball game? Thats what we said ! We loaded the boys up and took them out to the ball game. They got dressed in all their best Astros gear and were excited for the big game! We scored awesome seats behind the dugout so the boys were right up close to the game. Nathan even got a ball !!! It was the highlight of the day and he is so excited to put it up in his new room on display. I LOVE LOVE LOVE special days with the family like these.

Long Weekend in San Antonio

Over the summer we started a bead jar for the boys. They would get little beads to put in a jar for doing things like chores, acting nice to each other, learning new things, etc. Once the jar was full the deal was that they would get to go to Sea World and Six Flags. They finally filled up that huge jar and we got to go on a fun trip to San Antonio! The first day we got there and checked into the hotel. We all were itching to get out so we walked over to the river walk. We went on the boat tour all around the river and ate a yummy dinner. We headed back to get to bed for our fun days ahead. The first park we hit up was Fiesta Texas. We had such a fun time. Nathan and Daddy rode every roller coaster they could while Nolan and I had to stick to the 42 inches and unders. Some of the favorites were the water ride that completely soaked us all. The boys even stood on the bridge after to get soaked again. Nathan was so sweet and stood really close to Nolan to make sure the water didnt knock him down since it was pretty powerful. By the end of the day everyone was exhausted but had such a great time. We grabbed a yummy dinner and headed back to get settled in. Then next day was Sea World. It was another fun day of Roller coasters and fun. We took it slow and watched a couple shows . The boys loved the Sea Lion show. I am so proud of their hard work to earn such a fun treat. I had the best time watching them and how much fun they have riding rides and having a blast.

Basketball

Nathan started playing basketball this summer and loves it! He has done such a great job getting in there where he is usually pretty stand offish. He even has this cool move where he blocks people out with his booty and it actually works every time! He says that basketball is his favorite sport so I am sure our major Rockets fan Daddy loves to hear that. Looks like he will have a new friend to take to the games.

Nathan Kinder Graduation

Check out this handsome kindergarten graduate! What a stud. This year has flown by and am so proud of my little man. He has done an amazing job and has learned so much this year.

Nathan the Rock Star

Nathan has always wanted to play some kind of instrument. It changed from his original guitar as a toddler to piano over the last couple years. I never knew what age would be best to start lessons. Seeing as how he couldn't read words I wasn't sure he would be able to read music? Well not to long ago we saw that a friend on his baseball team played the piano . He was so excited and wanted to take lessons too.I talked to his mom and got all the information . After talking about it we decided on the guitar since we do not have room for a big piano. All I could think about was my parents still stuck with that big white piano in the dining room that I played all of a year :)That was not going to be me! ha ha ha This last Monday was his first lesson . On Saturday Daddy took us to the music store to get him set up with a real guitar that would be easier to play for his size. All weekend he was counting down to his lesson and on Monday he was so excited! We got there and he met his teacher Matt who was so nice and very patient. Nathan seemed happy but very serious as usual when it comes to things like lessons . Later he told Daddy it was "a little boring"!!!!! I wanted to strangle him and I could see the look on Daddy's face was the same. He has been practicing and I know he will be so happy when he gets to play a whole song. I am sure he is a natural :)

Nolans Spring Play

Last week Nolan had his Spring Play at school. He told me at the house that he was not going to sing at the play. The whole way there in the car we talked about it and he kept saying he would not be singing. I figured once we got to school he would see all of his friends singing and decide he wanted to. Well the show started and all the cute kids piled into their spots. The music started and Nolan did not sing or dance. ha ha ha . He stared at me the whole time in the crowd . He would talk to his friend Kaitlyn next to him every now and then but for the most part just stood up and stared. I was laughing the whole time and he just kept on smiling. When we went back to the class to pick him up his teacher kept telling me how proud she was of him. She said he had told them that he wasnt going to sing and that he would just stand still and be good. Well that he did and she was proud of him standing and being good so he got a treat from the treasure box . Nolan always keeps us on our toes, with him being our outgoing one you wouldn't think he would be the one with stage fright.

Nathans Baseball

It is Baseball Season again and Nathan has been having a great time! He is on the Mustangs this year and playing a year up! He is the youngest on the team but one of the tallest. He is playing coach pitch instead of T Ball since he is playing up a year. We were worried about how he would do but he is a great hitter ! They had a really fun opening day with all kinds of things for the kids to do . I think we have played 5 games so far and doing pretty good. I love watching these guys play sports but sometimes it makes me sad thinking they are even old enough. I still feel like I have babies until I see these pictures :(
