Disney

Well what do all Superbowl teams do after the game? They go to Disney World! ha ha ha . Well we had already had the trip to Disney planned but thought it was pretty funny how the timing worked out. This time our friends the Nimberger's came along for the fun. We got there a few days ahead so we could visit Granny and Grandpa go to Universal. Nathan was even old enough to ride Harry Potter this time which he loved. They also worked granny into buying them lots of goodies including Harry's owl for Nolan and his magic wand for Nathan ( he thinks he is casting spells all the time) . We were excited we got to visit both parks and ride stuff we hadn't before. The Simpson ride was Daddy's favorite. I will admit it was pretty darn cool . My favorite is the Dr. Suess land . We booked a breakfast to eat with the Grinch and all the other Who's which was so fun. I will say we were a little late and missed the crowd but still got to meet the green man himself. After breakfast we headed over to watch How The Grinch Stole Christmas. It was such a cool play and perfect since we watch the Grinch about 5,000 times during the holidays and another 1,000 throughout the year. :) Later that day we meet transformers, rode on a ride with Minions, helped Spiderman save the day and rode a bike with ET. Daddy and Nathan kept riding lots of big rides like the Mummy, crazy roller coasters, and the Terminator 4D movie . When they walked over to us after seeing the Terminator I asked Nathan how it was and he said " A little inappropriate for my age" ha ha ha ha. I love this kid! I can tell Kyle is very excited he and Nate can ride those things together now. It is so cute to see how excited Nate gets and how he thinks he is such a big guy now.
After a few days the Nimberger's flew in and met up for Disney. The boys had a great time and it was nice having Sopie to hang out with . She is such a sweet girl and the boys just adore her. Some of the fun things we did this time were the Pirate for a day . The boys got to be transformed into pirates. It was so cool , we showed up to the stop and they gave them their own special pirate names, then the girl pirates decked them all out . Nathan even got hooked up with a black eye! After they did the pirate oath and swore them in they were escorted to a secret room where captain Jack Sparrow keeps all of his treasures. The boys swiped a special medallion before they graduated. It was so cool and the boys were really into it.
That day we hung out and did everything at the Magic Kingdom. All of the Christmas decorations were out and the parades were all set for the holidays. It was so much fun. Towards the end of the night we got to visit the new area where Belle's castle in . They have a Belle's storytime that we had heard some good things about . We were lucky to get in with not a long wait. It was the coolest thing I have ever seen! We walked in an the mirror on the wall transformed into a doorway that we could walk through. Once inside the kids all got parts in the story. Nathan was a horse and Nolan was a fork. After the parts were handed out we headed into the library where Belle was waiting for them to read the story too. Lumire was there and looked so real as he was talking to the kids. They performed the play and of course Belle loved it. I think this was one of the coolest things added to the park! We had a great trip , the boys rode lots of rides . Daddy and Nathan rode the rocking roller coaster and Tower of Terror a million times. They kept making funny faces in all of the pictures . They make me laugh every time I look at them. We packed in so much fun this trip. We saw the Osbourne lights, stunt shows, parades, went to space, ate in Germany, visited Norway and Mexico, saw Ariel and Nemo under the sea, flew high with the new Dumbo, lazered some bad guys with Buzz light year, took a Star tour and made our own R2D2's and the list goes on and on. WE sure do love this place. We also go to visit Universal befo

Nate's Christmas Recital

Mr Matt has been so patient with Nathan and Nathan really clicks with him. A few months after he had started it was time for the recital! We were excited when Mr Matt asked him to be in it because when he first started he had said he probably wouldn't be able to play by then but would be in the next spring show. He told us Nathan had picked it up so quickly that there was no doubt he is ready to play in the Christmas show! The two of them picked the song Jingle bells and practiced. The day came for the recital and he did AWESOME!!! He was towards the end so we could tell he was starting to get pretty nervous the closer it got. Mr. Matt warmed up with him in the back and then it was his turn to go. He sat right down and played it just perfect! We were so proud of him and I have to say he was the cutest one there that night too :)

Vikings Superbowl

Nathans flag football team made it all the way to the SUPERBOWL!!!! Everyone was so excited that they were going to play in the Berry Center where the big kids play! It was a pretty big deal with the scoreboards, announcers, big lights, and HUGE FIELD!
One of the parents on the team had a limo take the boys to the game . Nathan talked about how much fun it was dancing in the limo for weeks. I guess it was a perfect way for all the boys to get their sillies out before the big game. They ended up losing but we are so proud of them and how hard they played. Nathan walked away with a pretty big trophy that is a super cool memory of this awesome time.
