Nathans first Day of School!!!

Today was the first day of school. I was a little worried but Nathan did great. He took off as soon as we got out of the car for his classroom. When we got there he ran straight for the trucks and got so excited. I was a little worried that he didnt even seem to care if I was there but I guess that is a good thing.
We stopped by a little early to pick them up and it was still nap time. I looked in the window and saw all the cute babies sleeping on their nap mats!! It was adorable. As I looked around I didn't see Nathan ????? Hmmmmmm. Where could he be???
As I looked around some more I spotted Nathan and Claire sitting in their teachers lap laughing and reading a book. Can you believe these two already have the teacher wrapped around their little fingers. In one day!!! Now that they totally know how to get out of nap time I am pretty sure we are headed for some fun days ahead.
Ms. Eddy said Nathan cried a little during the day but not much . I am thinking he cried when it was time to put the trucks away. ha ah ah.

Animal Sounds

This is Nathan making his animal sounds. I know the part where I ask about a nightmare might seem a little weird but everynight we read Nightmare in my Closet and he cracks up. He loves the nightmare :) At the end when I ask him what a shark says he runs off so you cant hear it but he says dunh duh , dunh duh like Jaws . It is really funny but I cant ever get it on camera.

ABCs

I havent posted in awhile ( I forgot my password :() We are back and ready to go. :) Nathan has recently surprised us with his love of the alphabet. He is alwasy pointing out letters whenever we go somewhere. He especially loves the Neon Beer Signs. He reads B........U........D.... you see where it is going. I am pretty sure he is able to read the words Bud Light. I know his new Catholic school will love this! I swear we dont encourage this. We bought him some foam letters and numbers to practice with. He loves to show them off but cant quite figure out the numbers. We are working on that. My mother in law is convinced that he is the smartest kid in the world. I dont have the heart to break it to her but we are certain he learned them from his Leap Frog movie that plays over and over in the car. ah ah ah aha h. Shhhhhhhhhhhh its a secret. Florida here we come !

We just got back from visiting our family in Florida. Nathan had a blast. We went to the Magic Kingdom and Sea World where he got to ride his very first roller coaster ( kid size of course :) ). He was the perfect traveler. He took a long nap on both flights which made for perfect flights. By the end of the trip he had Granny and Grandpa doing whatever he wanted. He has a way with the grandparents :)

Nathan loves to play with his buddy Claire. I am pretty sure he has a big time crush on this little cutie. He likes to follow her around wherever she goes and gives her all of his attention. Nathan isn't a big fan of sharing food but doesn't even notice if Claire wants a bite of something he is eating. I think we have a budding romance on our hands for sure. We are very lucky that they are only 2 days apart and will even be in the same class in September! I thnk Nathan would be lost without her.

All I can say is Brad and Angelina better watch out because we have a new hot couple on the scene. :)

Brenham with Meme and Papa

Last weekend we went to Brenham with Meme and Papa to check out the Mayfest German festival. Nathan had so much fun snacking on his favorite snack of homemade french fries. He got to play with his Papa and daddy at the super fun park . The most exciting part of the day were the cool carnival rides he got to ride. We went down a HUGE slide that was very fast. He also rode the carousel , a train and a boat! WOW!

Our first Blog!

I finally did it! Here is our first blog all about our little man Nathan.

We have had lots of fun lately since Summer is just around the corner and the weather has been beautiful. Nathan loves to play outside in the water. When he isnt in the water he loves to play golf. He has his own set of clubs and plays with daddy almost every day. I know I am just a proud momma but I am pretty sure we have some natural talent here. :)
