Nolan is 4!

So Nolan is 4. This day came out of nowhere and I have no idea what happened to year 3. He has gotten so big measuring in at 42 inches! He is in the 80 percentile for his height and 35 for weight. He is starting to get tall and skinny just like his brother. He is the funniest and sweetest boy in the world. He has turned into such a sweet cuddle bug. He is doing great in school and really loves his teachers . He has quite a few friend in his class and plays so sweet with them. His favorite thing to play is Ninjas. We can get him to do anything if we tell him thats what Ninjas do. His teachers have even caught on and use it at school. Nolan recently started a reading class to help him focus a bit better in the classroom setting. He is doing so great and is actually reading site words!!!!! We are so proud of him and how much he is trying to learn all these new things. He still thinks Nathan hangs the moon and can not wait for him to get home from school everyday. He likes to walk Nate to and pick him up from the bus stop . He definitely has his own ideas and personality . He keeps us laughing non stop. He is not shy at all and will talk to anyone anywhere at anytime. I wish he would just slow down for a bit. I can't even remember when he was a baby and that makes me so sad. He has grown up way to fast for my liking. At night when we go to bed he tells me that he loves me more than popcorn, bananas and pie. It is the sweetest thing anyone could ever tell me . I hope he always knows that we love him more than all the popcorn, bananas, and pie in the world!

Christmas Day

Christmas was such a wonderful time as usual ! The boys woke up and started ripping into their presents! This year their big present was a special trip to Tahoe that they were so excited about! Most gifts had to do with the trip since we don't have much snow gear living in Houston . They got new snow boots and snow suits to keep them warm and dry while we were in the snow. They also got tablets and all the accessories to go with them . They boys had a blast opening all of their new toys.Nolan got some Pirate things and Nate got some Wreck it Ralph gloves. There were lots of Legos and treats for both boys. We hung out together all morning playing with our new gifts and spending the day together. I love these boys so much and I love love love the holidays with them. It is such a sweet and special time that I couldn't imagine being more perfect. After a fun morning we got to cooking. Everyone was coming over to spend the day at our house. We cooked a delicious lunch with Prime Rib, Potatoes, Green beans and lots of desserts. Mimi, Papa, Richard, Kathy and Chad came and we had such a fun Christmas Day. We spent the whole day hanging out and having a great time together. The boys went to see a movie while the girls and little ones relaxed from all the Christmas rushing around. IT was a wonderful Christmas just like always spending it with the family and my sweet boys!

Family Pictures

I talked my awesome friend Kelley into meeting us at the local railroad track to snap some pics of us for our Christmas Cards. I took the opportunity to snap lots of pictures of the boys because you can't really have to many pictures of your kids right? :)

Christmas Cookies

We love the holidays in this house and one of our favorite things to do is make Christmas cookies! We got out all of our icing and sprinkles and got to baking . The boys were very serious decorating some pretty cookies. Nolan likes to taste as he decorates so it takes him a little longer and he gets a little messier. Nate starts with a vision and is very serious about the process. They all came out beautiful and we even had Daddy do the judging to see who the winning cookie was. Can you believe that it was a tie? Both boys won!!!!

Broken Arm

Well we got a call from school asking us to come and pick up Nathan that he has hurt his wrist. When I got to the school they had him in a make shift splint out of paper and tape. He was sitting there looking as laid back as could be. I asked the nurse if she really thought he was hurt ? She was pretty sure his wrist was broken so we headed off to the Emergency Room. Nathan was so sweet and was trying to be such a big boy. Everyone at the ER was so nice to him . We got our X Rays and sure enough it needed a cast :( They put on soft cast until the swelling went do and then we would get the hard one. After a week we headed to the ortho to get the real deal. He picked purple and yellow for the Vikings and the "cast man" made him a cool cast. We even painted a Vikings on it so everyone would know what the purple and yellow was for :) He has been so good about the whole thing. He has not complained once about any of it. I am sure it helps that everyone gives him a little special attention because of his pitiful little arm in that cast. The worst part is he has to miss all of the football games except the last two because of it. He has still wanted to go to every single practice and his coach is nice enough to still let him play with the team. On Game Days he gets to sit with the team and even do the coin toss. He has been a great sport about it all . Everyone tells me to get used to it because boys always break things...... UH OH !
