Discovery Green

Today at Discovery Green they were having Curious George visit! We loaded up and headed out with our friends to see this famous monkey.

I love Discovery Green, it is right in the middle of Houston surrounded by tall buildings and sports centers but it is so quiet and peaceful. It looks so pretty to me to see this huge area of green green grass with kids running around like crazy

We got there and laid out all of our blankets to sit on and wait for the show. Nolan being Nolan cant sit in one place two long so the waiting part was not really his thing. The boys wanted to play on the playground so bad but I kept telling Nathan he had to wait until the show was over. Finally it started and out came Curious George! After the story they got to take pictures with him. Nolan was not having it and wanted to chase the birds instead. Kelley patiently stood in line with the older boys while I chased Nolan who was chasing birds. He thought it was hilarious to run around after these poor birds.
After the pictures the boys finally got to play on the big play ground. Nathan's frown turned upside down in a matter of seconds!
It was getting close to lunch so we grabbed some food in the restaurant and then headed to the fountains for the boys to splash around. They had a blues band playing on the stage outside across from us. As the boys were running through the water I would catch Nolan and Nathan dancing quietly to themselves. These guys can not sit still when they hear some tunes. It always makes me giggle because I don't think anyone else realizes they are dancing so calmly.
The boys had so much fun and were exhausted by noon. This is rare but hey I will take it for sure. We loaded up everyone and everything to get home before everyone fell asleep.
I think we will be visiting this place a lot over the summer

Nathan showing me his "breakdown" dancing.

Chasing those poor birds. That little bird almost got caught. Luckily Nolan had his shoes on the wrong feet :)

Those are some sweet moves Nathan is exhibiting. Can he teach me? Great pictures!
