Happy Birthday Nathan!

Sunday was Nathans 3rd Birthday! We had a super fun party at the Little Gym with all of his favorite friends. It was so fun and the kids had a blast. It was of course a Cars theme, his favorite!
Our Granny and Grandpa came to visit from Florida and got to see all the kiddos they always hear us talk about.
Nathan got a Grocery store from his mommy and daddy and loves to yell into the cash register microphone " I need a bagger please". It is so funny. He got so many fun toys and has not stopped playing since. We are so lucky to have so many nice friends.

San Antonio!

This last Tuesday we packed up with our friends Brady and Hogan for a trip to San Antonio to see our best bud Claire! It was such a great trip . We got there on Tuesday night and went over to Claire's new house. We had a yummy dinner that her mommy made and then some super yummy ice cream cupcake cones! The kids got to run and play in her backyard and blow bubbles. Then we took the party inside for Claire's presents! OH WHAT FUN! It was pretty late so we LOADED up and headed to the hotel . We got back and settled in with our buddy Brady and his mommy. I was worried Nathan wouldn't sleep in the bed and thought it would be even worse knowing that is friend was right on the other side of the door. He was exhausted and eventually passed out after his usual night time fight! ha ha ha .
The next morning we got up and met Claire and her mommy at the zoo! The weather was beautiful and the zoo was so nice. From the minute they got out of the car Claire said " Nafan hold my hand" I don't think there was more than a minute after that where there was no hand holding. It makes me so sad that we don't get to see Claire much because Nathan is absolutely in Love with her.
After the zoo we rode the super fun train around the park. We saw some of the sights , and some not so good sights ( Kelley you know what I am talking about!) ha ha ha.
Everyone was pretty tired so we headed back to the hotel to "rest". Hogan was the only one smart enough to know he needed his energy. The rest of the kiddos watched some TV and ate popcorn!
After everyone was in a better mood we rode over to the Riverwalk to walk around and eat. After the busy day we had to load back up to drive home :( Everyone got settled in and eventually passed out except for Nathan. I knew he wouldn't but had a small bit of hope that he might.
We had so much fun with all of our super fun friends. It was so nice to visit Claire and her mommy and see their new home. Nathan has already been asking when we are going to see Claire again. He thinks that road trips with Hogan and Brady are so fun and cant understand why we cant load up and go again. Today. ah ha ah.

School . Round Two!

Nathan started back to school this week. Both of us have been waiting so patiently for the 8th to get here. He got up and was so excited to see his teachers and friends. We got very lucky this year with is teacher Mrs. Eddy. Mrs. Eddy was his teacher last year and had to leave a month or so into the year. Nathan loves her and I know she loves him. She has 3 rowdy boys of her own and knows how to control em! ah ah ah.
We got up and dressed and packed up our new Lightning McQueen back pack, lunch box and nap mat. We loaded everyone up and off we went . As we were pulling out of the driveway Kyle was telling Nathan goodbye. Nathan yelled out " Have a good day at work daddy" He paused for a second and told Kyle to say back " Have a good day at school!" ah ha ah ah.
When we pulled up Nathan waited so nicely for me to get Nolan out and packed up . When I unbuckled him he jumped down and gathered all of his things like he had done it a million times before. He walked right off not even waiting for me! We got him signed in and his things put away and he was off! I had to chase him down to get my good bye kiss :( Isn't the first day supposed to be a little sad ? I guess Nathan didnt get that memo .
When I got there to pick him up he seemed like he had been going full speed all day. They went to music and learned a new ladybug song that has been a number one hit in our house every since. His teacher said he did great and he told me he even sat quietly on his " Mcqueen nap nap ". There was no sleeping of course, I didnt expect it .

I am so proud and sad that he loves school so much . I wish he was just a little more sad to see me leave. :)

Here are some pics of our first day back!
