Here comes Peter Cotton Tail

We had a great Easter this year. On Saturday we made sure to dye some eggs in our new fancy spinning egg dye kit. It seals the egg in a container and you press a button to spin. Mess Free!
The Boys had fun and only broke one. Mommy broke two just from boiling them.
On Sunday morning we were woken up bright and early by Nathan who was soooo excited that the Easter bunny brought him some Chuggington stuff. I said Nathan why are you up so early? He said he was so excited to see if the Easter bunny had come.
I got up and opened the box full of tracks so he could play. I snuck back into bed and he played with those trains until we got up to eat breakfast! He really really loves these trains.
Mimi and Papa came over and the boys showed them all of their goodies. Nolan doesn't really seem to care. I feel like he is so used to having toys all over and probably didn't realize the trains were for him too. He did get some little bubbles that he loved. I love them because they are spill proof and passed the test. He loves bubbles but he also loves to dump them about two seconds into them being opened.
We then got all loaded up and met Chad and Richard for Easter brunch . The food was delicious as usual and the boys had fun with the Easter bunny and clown they had there. They always have a face painter there and Nathan loves it. This time she rambled off a list of things that he could be . As soon as the word Tiger came out of her mouth Nathan was done! Nathan and Nolan are always running around this house roaring and growling at each other. Nolan and daddy had headed out to the car to get the boys Easter baskets so they had no clue what he was getting. By the time they had made it back Nathan was transformed into a handsome tiger. He was so surprised when he saw himself in the mirror. Nolan was just staring at him and giggling . The sweet bunny asked Nolan if he wanted to be a bunny rabbit. He hoped right up on the chair and she started painting away. He loves to be messed with and he looked like he was falling asleep. It must have felt really good on his face because at one point she had to put her hand on the side of his head to hold it up! ha ha ha.
When he was finished she showed him in the mirror and he just stared . I don't think he knew it was him.
They were so cute in their face paint and it just proves that I am running a zoo over here with all of these animals! ha ha ha.
Next the boys got to run through and pick up some Easter eggs. They both were loaded with candy by the time we had left.
WE headed home where they played a little more and then took some naps. They were both worn out . The rest of us sat around relaxing and watching golf. It was a perfect , relaxing Easter!

Easter Egg Hunt at school

Today we had our Easter Egg hunt at school! The boys were so excited. Each child has to bring in a bag of eggs. Trying to stay away from candy I let the boys pick out what they wanted to take. Nathan found a super cool box of Hot Wheel Racecar eggs and Nolan picked out some neat play dough eggs!
I was volunteering today so I got to see all the fun in person!
Nathans class was first and it was FAST! I had my camera out as they walked out and next thing I knew it was done! They were all scrambling around counting their eggs they had found. They were so cute and very excited.

Nolan's class was next up so I headed over to their area. They all came out not really knowing what was going on. The teachers started pointing the eggs out to them and then they were off! Nolan really got into it once he had found a few. It is so fun to watch these special days at school . I can't believe the year is almost over and how much they have grown.

This picture is classic Nathan. This was waiting for the hunt to start. He is always biting his nails . I guess the suspense was getting to him. :)

This picture captured Nolan perfectly. Mrs. Sandra was trying so hard to get all these little guys lined up for a class picture . Look in the back. Do you see Nolan laughing? He is laughing because he was hitting the blow up bunny while everyone else was saying cheese. Nice Nolan :)

Hat Parade

Today at school the boys had a hat parade. Every class dressed up after a story they have been reading. Nolan's class dressed for the book the Hungry Caterpillar. He was so funny. Every time he saw me he would wave and blow kisses. I am not sure what was going through his little head but he was having a blast laughing the whole time. Nathans class was dressed up for Dr. Seuss! He had a Cat in the Hat , hat on and a plate of green eggs and ham. He was so serious trying not to drop the green eggs and ham. When I picked him up today he was telling me all about "Dr. Zeus" and how he heard me say hi to him at the parade but he was " to serious to say hi back".
After the parade they got to release their butterflies and lady bugs in the garden . They have been taking care of these for the last two weeks so it was time to let them go. It is so cute how much they are learning and it doesn't hurt that I get to see them in adorable little parades!

Bluebonnets!

Today we drove out to Magnolia to visit our friends and take pictures in the bluebonnets!
WE woke up and hoped in the car for our long drive. Heather moved a while back and we still haven't been out to see her new house so we were very excited. The boys did great on the drive because Mommy bribed them with some donuts.
WE finally got there and saw her beautiful new house! The boys all unloaded and played for a bit then we headed on down to the field of bluebonnets she had found.
It was so pretty and Nolan was ready to take off! Thank goodness I had help wrangling him or I might have lost him in the sea of blue.

First Game!

Yesterday was Nathan's first T-ball game! The weather started out kind of yucky but it cleared up just in time for some baseball.
Nathan was pretty excited . We were the first ones to the field and the boys kept running around the bases. Nathan probably ran the bases 10 times before the game started. Everyone looked so cute in their little uniforms. Nathan did a great job. He hit it both times up to bat ( it's on a T but hey its a hit!). He has been really good with his patience during baseball so coach daddy is going to let him play in the pitcher position next time! Daddy has been trying to not show favoritism since he is the coach. I am so proud of my little baseball player. He seems to really be enjoying the game and is trying hard to get it right.
In the picture of him hitting you can see his helmet doesn't fit. They give us helmets to use and it turns out Nathan's head is to big. In his defense he is the biggest kid on the team ( not the oldest). Daddy and him went and bought him his own cool helmet for the next game so he doesn't have to play with it sitting above his ears. He hated putting that one on because his squished his head. Poor guy.

Nolan did not enjoy the game as much. He was mad that he couldn't play. he kept trying to sneak onto the field and kept yelling " B Ball". It is pretty pitiful. He made his rounds mooching candy off of one of our baseball friends mom and then proceeded to yell. Poor guy might have to sit out the next game. He only has a couple more years but he doesn't understand that.

Sorry about the pictures, they are from Daddy's phone. I somehow managed to remember the camera , long lens, extra card but forgot the most important thing........... the battery that was still plugged into the charger on the kitchen counter :(

This is Nathan and his Friend Gavin sitting in the dugout in deep conversation about something.

Running the bases. Nathan looks really fast here!

Nathan's first hit!!!! Look at Daddy's fancy moves behind him.

Look at that arm!
