Happy Handstands!

Well we finally got Nolan signed up for his own little gym class. We started about a 6 weeks ago but he has had to miss the last 3 weeks since he has gotten sick again.
Nathan used to LOVE the little gym. Nolan has been an observer of Nathan's classes until now! His first day he hadn't began walking yet so I thought oh he will see all of these other kids having a blast and walking. He didn't seem to notice that he was crawling while everyone else was walking. He had soooo much fun. He did front rolls, handstands , played on the parachute and hung from the bars! Nolan did such a great job. He was passed out in the car by the time we left the parking lot. He had worn himself out big time.
Within the next couple days he was walking! I guess he really did want to be able to play and run with the other babies. When we went back to the next class he was so proud of himself. He was very excited to show his teacher, Miss Lauren his new skills!

Dentist time!

Today was Nathan's very first trip to the dentist! When I made the appointment I asked the lady if I should talk to Nathan about it or just kind of show up. She told me from her experience talking about it to much makes them anxious. I took her advice and didn't really say much . When I went to pick Nathan up from shcool on Tuesday they had big mouths on the table and huge toothrushes. It is dental health month at school and they had been learning about their teeth and the dentist. Perfect!
That night at bedtime we talked about the dentist and what would happen. He wasn't very concerned until I got to the part where I told him he gets to pick out a toy when he is done. Nathan quickly said "only one"? . This was what he got out of the whole conversation. ha hahaha.
Our appointment was a little early so we got up and headed on our way. When we got there they had Ice Age playing so Nathan sat right down and waited like the perfect patient.
They called us back right away. He sat down in the chair to get "pictures taken of his teeth". They even let him press the button when it was time to take the pictures! He was such a great helper and took his job very seriously. Next they cleaned his teeth . My little man always surprises me. He was sooooo good , He held his mouth open wide and even helped suck out the spit with that little suction thingy. He didn't seem scared at all. I thought he would a least be a little freaked out but he acted like he had done it a million times before.
Next the dentist came in to finish up the exam . He did great and everyone was sooooooo nice . He finally got to head over to the treasure chest and pick out a toy! After a few minutes he finally decided on a little parachute guy with a soccer ball?
I am so proud of my brave man with his perfect teeth! :)
I think he was a little dissapointed that he has to wait 6 months to go back.

Look who's walking!

Nolan started walking the day before his birthday at his Mimi's house! Can you believe this guy? He decided to walk on one of the very few days that he is not with me. I had a lot to get done for his birthday party so Mimi was babysitting. Sure enough when I went to pick him up she told me he had been walking around. I thought oh yeah the few steps here and there that he had been doing. Nope! It was full on walking. When we got home he showed me what he could do. The whole time he was laughing so hard like check this out! . He is so proud of himself and it is sooo cute to watch him waddle all over the place :) Go Nolan!
